Delegation trip: Thuringian Prime Minister Mario Voigt visits Harry's US headquarters in New York

Strengthening ties – and creating new perspectives. That’s why we at Harry’s are particularly pleased that a delegation from Thuringia, led by the new Prime Minister Mario Voigt, recently visited our headquarters in New York.

In addition to Mario Voigt, entrepreneurs, scientists, and members of parliament also participated in the delegation trip. In detail, the participants visited New York, Boston, and Washington. Here, the key objective was to attract new investors to Thuringia. Further, the trip strengthened existing business relationships, raised the international profile of the Free State of Thuringia, and facilitated cultural exchange.

At Harry’s, we believe that such trips create new opportunities – similar to Bodo Ramelow’s visit in 2017. Eight years later, it was an amazing feeling to welcome Prime Minister Mario Voigt, Thuringia’s Minister of Economic Affairs Colette Boos-John, the head of the State Development Corporation Andreas Krey, Matthias Wierlacher from the Aufbaubank Thuringia, as well as other participants and journalists to our headquarters. Moreover, our Managing Directors Florian Schebitz and Gordon Bittig were also on site.

Initially, the delegation was personally welcomed by the two company founders Andy Katz-Mayfield and Jeff Raider, as well as John Butcher, Will Freund and Willie Johnson from the US leadership team. Afterward, an insightful presentation and an office tour were on the agenda. So, the guests were able to gain insights into our New York headquarters.

Finally, a small group discussion took place to exchange opinions on important topics for the Eisfeld site. In summary, it was a day of interesting conversations and new impressions that made a long-term impact.
