I then applied for a job on my own initiative. My training as a chemical laboratory assistant and my part-time studies as a chemical engineer enabled me to join the company in September 2015 as a laboratory assistant to support mechanical measurements and metallographic tests.

Since 2019, I have been the manager of the laboratory in the Applied Technologies department, responsible for seven employees and for their professional and personal development. Through various further training courses, I was able to qualify as a TÜV-certified Material Compliance Officer in 2020 and have since been responsible for both the monitoring and approval of all product-related materials and the commissioning of safety assessments and risk analyses.

What I like most about my job at HARRY’S is that I can design my own working environment and thus have a lot of freedom to put my own ideas into practice. Above all, however, I enjoy the confidence of being able to develop my employees. We are all perceived internationally as partners and experts and are involved in global projects. The special mixture of rural surroundings in Eisfeld and New York start-up character was also one of the main reasons that convinced me to join HARRY’S right from the start.

When I started here at the factory, Feintechnik GmbH Eisfeld had just been taken over by HARRY’S. A lot of investment was made in this process, brand new assembly lines were installed, and a completely new product was launched. I could really feel the progress and my fascination for the innovative technology in our facilities continues to grow. I am very proud to be part of such a family working environment and to create a product together that we can identify with.

When I was looking for a new professional challenge, I specifically hoped to find a company that would allow me to utilize and expand my technical skills. Beyond that, I wanted a job with good future career prospects. Harry’s in Eisfeld met both criteria.
After joining as a press worker, I gradually got to know all processes in the field of blade production. Continuous professional development was important to me, and I wanted to understand each single process in depth. As the factory kept on growing, internal restructuring measures were implemented and the company needed eight new team leaders in the blade production department. I was one of them. In 2015, I was promoted to team leader in the press shop.

To me, Harry’s is distinguished by the excellent team spirit. Working as a coherent, functioning team is an important step towards achieving our goals. The company also prioritizes the professional development of its employees; it is modern, international and future-oriented, and it sells innovative products. All of these factors make Harry’s an attractive employee in my view.

One of my most exciting tasks was the machine and plant inventory, because I could get to know the production process of a blade and the corresponding machines.

My biggest success with Harry’s was the acceptance of the dual study program for International Business Administration, which I am now completing. Harry’s has grown strongly in recent years, which makes the company special for me.

The daily tasks allow me to take on a lot of personal responsibility and to never stop learning. In addition, our culture of open communication creates effective work processes and allow for fast problem solving. However, none of this would have been possible without all the great colleagues. At Harry’s the ‘we-feeling’ is not just a phrase.

The merger with Harry’s has brought many advantages, both for the employee’s team spirit as well as for the technical progress. Any kind of machine that is needed is immediately purchased without hesitation. This ensures that the high-quality standard of our products is constantly provided. The deliberate connection between individual departments has also accelerated our work processes and created a firm union amongst colleagues. We enjoy working together and we talk about much more than just work in the cafeteria.

Today I am the Team Lead in the blade production unit. In this unit we encounter many exciting challenges and new tasks on a daily basis – we actually never get bored.

Since the merger with Harry’s there have been many positive changes, such as the construction and opening of our new cafeteria and the specially designed social spaces. It is incredibly exciting to witness the continuous growth of the company. I was particularly taken by the new machinery. Harry’s is also having an incredible impact on the city of Eisfeld and the surrounding area, as many new jobs have been created.
