Prime Minister, staff, and company executives celebrate Harry's Plus
It’s no longer a secret: when the Prime Minister of Thuringia shaves his beard in the morning, he does so with a razor from Harry’s. The CDU politician revealed this to the staff of Feintechnik GmbH in Eisfeld during a visit to the company.
The timing for the flying visit to Eisfeld was well chosen: the company’s top management, led by Harry’s founder Andy Katz-Mayfield, had gathered in southern Thuringia for a board meeting. And having the Prime Minister and the company’s top management in the house was reason enough to celebrate.
But at Harry’s, the new Harry’s Plus product was also celebrated on the last Wednesday in October. The razor, which is produced in Eisfeld, has been on the market in the US since May, but has never been introduced in Germany, where it is not sold.
This was now rectified in the presence of the Minister President. He was visibly pleased that the new product makes the 400 or so jobs at the Eisfeld site even more secure than they already are: another production line is currently being built specifically for Harry’s Plus. It is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2027.
And Mario Voigt had another reason to be happy. He received his own Harry’s Plus from Harry’s German managing director Florian Schebitz. Because the razor is not sold in Germany, it is a rarity here—but not unique. All Harry’s employees in Eisfeld also received their own personal Harry’s Plus.
