The Weimar Economic Forum took place on September 10, 2018 under the theme "Thuringia 2030 - Chances of Structural Change".
At the panel on securing skilled workers in times of digitalisation, Maren Kroll discussed the challenges and opportunities of structural change with Ines Feierabend, State Secretary at the Thuringian Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Health, Women and Family, Valentina Kerst, Economic Secretary at the Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Science and Digital Society, and Kay Senius, Chairman of the Board of Management of the Regional Directorate Saxony-Anhalt / Thuringia.
The Weimar Business Forum focuses on the intensive dialogue between companies, chambers of commerce, trade unions and associations with politics and administration. Under this year’s motto, the panel focused on various aspects of securing skilled workers, the consequences for the labour market and developments in the education system in times of digitalisation.
