On 2 February 2023, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mr Gerald Ullrich, Member of the German Bundestag and Member of the Economic Committee, to our factory in Eisfeld. He is an entrepreneur, studied engineering and has been involved as a politician since 2017 for the constituencies of Suhl, Schmalkalden, Meiningen, Hildburghausen and Sonneberg.

Mr Ullrich got a first impression of the development of HARRY’S through a company presentation given by Managing Director Gordon Bittig. This was followed by an open and lively discussion in which the topics discussed included the general lack of skilled workers, the necessary expansion of the infrastructure and further technological progress.

Afterwards, Production Manager Sven Klauer guided Mr. Ullrich through the factory and gave him an insight into the production processes of our company. After the visit, Mr Ullrich was impressed and emphasised the important role of HARRY’S with its 600 employees as one of the “heavyweights of the South Thuringian economy”.

We would like to thank Mr Ullrich for the productive exchange. We hope that such visits can take place more often again in the future and that the important, ongoing dialogue between business and politics will continue.
